5. Gap in meals:  It is very dangerous to skip meals. Skipping meals can lead to low blood sugar levels, reduction in blood sugars may cause the veins in the head to spasm, and you will begin sensing pain in your head.

6. Excess use of mobile phones and electronic devices: Brightness from your mobile phones, computer screen or television can make things painful. If you are spending hours in front of these electronic devices, you will surely have a headache, try to reduce it.

7. Stress & anxiety: Stress and anxiety can also lead to pain in your head.  When you are stressed, it tightens your muscles which can also lead to spasm.

LIST OF HEALTHY DRINKS THAT YOU CAN HAVE FOR GLOWING SKIN

Whether its summer or winters, your body needs to be hydrated. And that is why this is the article is dedicated to all the working people who want to stay hydrated and maintain glowing skin. Here is my tentative healthy drink schedule that I follow.

DETOX YOUR BODY- FLUIDS THAT WILL HELP YOU TO STAY HYDRATED

It is quite essential that your body remains hydrated throughout the day. Of course there are a lot of food and food products that good for skin but being hydrated and consuming adequate water helps you maintain glowing skin, digestive functioning, and removal of all impurities from the body. However, it is impossible to drink water in every hour or two, because even though your body requires to drink water, it is practically not feasible for some people to drink a glass a water in such short intervals.

And that is why I am going to share my personal Fluid intake schedule that I follow when I am at work. Though water is universally elixir, this fluid schedule will not only retain the water level in the body but will also replenish the body and skin with various nutrients that are necessary for the body and we as working people couldn’t make up to it you can enjoy these drinks while relaxing in Spas or on your couch with a face pack.

LIST OF HEALTHY DRINKS THAT YOU CAN HAVE IN YOUR HECTIC SCHEDULES

Lime and Honey – Start your day with lime and honey water. The citrus element of lime will make your skin look fresh and open your skin pores. Honey act as a moisturizing element that will make your skin look smooth and soft.

What you have to do is –

  1. Add lime and a teaspoon honey in lukewarm water.
  2. It is advisable to drink this empty stomach.

Green Tea – Half an hour before breakfast, it is advisable to have Green Tea. Green Tea will accelerate your metabolism rate.  The Catechin EGCG element present in the green tea is quite helpful in removing dirty oils from the skin and also helps in reducing weight. It is advisable to have 2-3 cups of green tea throughout the day in order to achieve its benefits.

What you have to do is –

  1. Place a tea bag in a cup of warm water, before bathing.
  2. Have your green tea after with morning newspaper and half an hour before breakfast.

Fruit Smoothie/ Milkshake – Here you get a lot of options available, and you won’t get bored. Fruits and yoghurt are quite fulfilling and hence will provide you ample of nutrients. So in case if you lack time, and end up having a light breakfast (like a toast/ or cornflakes), fruit smoothie like strawberry smoothie will take care of everything on the breakfast table.

What you have to do is –

  1. Take any fruit like apple, banana, chikoo, kiwi, mango etc.
  2. Grind it with yoghurt or chilled milk and you are ready to go. 

ORANGE JUICE – Citrus fruits are rich in Vitamin C. Vitamin C is good for glowing skin and prevents skin. Also, oranges are also known for detoxifying body from dirt and dust.

What you have to do is –

  1. Extract juice of around 3-4 oranges  with a pinch of salt and pepper
  2. Carry it in a container and then you can have it when you travel to work.

CARROT AND GINGER JUICE – Carrot is known for cleansing the body from harmful radiant due to the antioxidants present in it. The Beta-carotene and Vitamin A present in carrot will improve the eyesight and skin texture. Whereas Ginger will work as an anti-aging agent by toning skin as well preventing acne.

What you have to –

  1. Cut around 4-5 carrots and a small piece of ginger into pieces.
  2. The extracted juice might be thick, Carry it in a container with you.
  3. Dilute it chilled water and drink this when you reach office.

GO GREEN – This juice is all in one for all the nutrients that will boost your energy and concentration level. To be honest, if you have this juice on a regular basis, you will save loads of money, by not buying those expensive beauty products that promise you certain benefits and don’t fulfil it. The nutrients present in the drink will heal your inner skin, making it fresh and glow.

What you have to do –

  1. Take ½ Green apple, a cucumber, some spinach or Kale leaves, 5-6 celery stalks, some cilantro leaves and a little lemon juice.
  2. Carry the juice in a container and dilute it with chilled water before drinking. You can also add one tea spoon of fresh aloe vera pulp for better results.

BEETROOT JUICE – Beetroot juice is a great source of increasing RBC count in the body. Also, beetroot juice helps in removing the toxins from the blood, which gives you a fresh and glowing skin.

What you have to do is –

  1. Extract the juice of 2-3 beetroots and carry it in a container.
  2. In order to enhance its taste, you can also add some tomatoes along with it.

KOKUM JUICE– This juice will not take time in the morning. What you can do take 15 minutes from the weekend and prepare Kokum syrup for the entire week. Carry syrup in a bottle to the office and then enjoy your drink. Kokum Juices are quite helpful from preventing sun strokes and sun allergies. It builds the immunity system and is good for the heart. It is advisable to have a glass of Kokum juice before lunch.

What you have to do is –

  1. Grind the Kokum Fruit and pulp with little water.
  2. Boil the juice with sugar and water, to make it thick.
  3. Carry the pulp to the office, add chilled water and some pepper to boost your energy.

BARLEY WATER – This juice won’t take your morning time, prepare this juice twice a week in the evening. Barley water is helpful in preventing sagginess of the skin. It increases the metabolism rate and helps in weight loss.

What you have to do is –

  1. Rinse well and soak barley in water for some time.
  2. Keep barley and water in 1:5 ratio and boil for like 35-40 minutes.
  3. Strain the water and you are ready to have your barley water.
  4. You can have an add-on like cinnamon, pepper, lime, salt as per your taste preference.

COCONUT WATER– While coming back from the office, just buy coconut water. Coconut water is an energy booster. It is will hydrate your body and will control blood pressure related issues. It is advisable that you must have coconut water daily.

AAM PANNA – Sitting and relaxing on the couch after office in summers, and feeling hungry. Just grab a glass of Aam Panna. This drink will not only prevent but also retain the necessary nutrients like sodium chloride and iron caused due to excessive sweating.

What you can do is –

  1. Extract pulp from raw mangoes.
  2. Blend the pulp with pepper, cardamom, and jaggery.
  3. Store it in Fridge. Add water before you drink.

BUTTERMILK/CHAAS/ LASSI – These days when we hardly get time to make them in the home, there are certain dairy brands which provide normal as well flavoured Butter milk or Lassi. These drinks are available in tetra packets which are quite hygienic. Apart from maintaining water level, these drinks are rich in calcium.

NIMBU PAANI – This is a 2-minute refreshing drink, which acts as an energy booster, tan healer and what not. In case you are in office and feel like having something sweetish yet sour, this is a perfect drink to your craving.

What you have to do is –

  1. Squeeze a lime or two in a glass.
  2. Add one tablespoon sugar and salt to it. Mix them well
  3. Add water and enjoy your drink.

SQUASHES – Artificial Squashes are something you can keep for emergencies so that in case you are not able to have the above health drinks mentioned above, you can at least have these replacements to fulfil water requirements of your body.
