Prince Harry and Meghan Markle urge their Instagram followers to participate in a noble cause ahead of Christmas

Ahead of the Christmas, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on Sunday took to Instagram a picture collage of 12 photos of charitable organisations’ accounts inspired by the ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’. 

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s motive behind the post is to urge people to reflect on those who are in need, lonely, hungry and homeless. The caption of the Instagram post read, “ With the festive holiday season upon us, it’s also a reminder to reflect on those in need – those who may feel lonely, hungry, homeless, or may be experiencing the holidays for the first time without loved ones. 

It’s an important time of year to help those around you who may be less fortunate, or who would appreciate even the smallest act of kindness. 

Continuing our monthly tradition of highlighting accounts that do good, and inspired by the “Twelve Days of Christmas” – we have selected twelve organisations caring for those in need – especially at this time of year. 

There are, thankfully, so many organisations around the world doing good on global and grassroots levels, many of which are not on Instagram. 

Check out the accounts we have chosen and please share those in your own communities that are making a difference.

The Eden Gardens saw Team India winning their 1st ever Day-Night Test match

The Eden Gardens in Kolkata turned Pink and successfully hosted the first pink-ball Test in India. The 2nd Test match of the Bangladesh tour of India witnessed the historic moment for both the countries that started from 22nd November but eventually ended 2 days before as Indian bowlers dominated and India won the match on the 3rd day. 

The Kolkata city that is well known for its love for sports, especially cricket created a new beginning in Indian cricket history. The Prince of Kolkata, Sourav Ganguly took a bold decision just after becoming the president of the BCCI. He convinced everyone including the Bangladesh Cricket Board for the match under artificial lights. Interestingly this was also Bangladesh’ first pink-ball Test match.

The match not only witnessed former Indian stars but also athletes from different sports and the political leaders like Prime Minister of Bangladesh and Chief Minister of West Bengal state. 

Team India also created numerous records in their 1st Day-Night Test match

After defeating Bangladesh in the 2nd test by an innings and 46 runs, team India created history in the history of Test cricket as they won four consecutive Tests by an innings margin. This was India’s seventh consecutive victory under the leadership of Virat Kohli which surpassed the previous record of MS Dhoni’s six consecutive victories in Test cricket for India. 

The trio of Indian Pacers took 19 wickets in the 2nd test match and thus created a record for the highest for fast bowlers in India’s home ground.

Taylor Swift Had A Record-Breaking 2019 American Music Awards

2019 American Music Awards took place on a Sunday night at Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, Calif. 

The “ME!” singer, Taylor Swift at American Music Awards won Artist of the Year and Artist of the Decade Awards in front of her peers. Along with Taylor Swift, it was Drake, Ariana Grande, Halsey and Post Malone were among the list of nominees for Artist of the Year Award but it’s Taylor Swift who won the Award.

Taylor Swift has made history by winning the most awards at AMAs with her 24th and 25th win than any other Artist. Previously it was Michael Jackson with 24 wins but Taylor surpassed it after winning Artist of the Year and Favorite Pop/Rock album thanks to Lover.

The achievement came just after the year when she had the most AMA wins as a female artist for which she surpassed Whitney Houston. 

Just before the AMAs, Taylor took to Twitter to share with her fans that she was being prevented to perform at AMAs by her former record label Big Machine. Later on, an agreement has been reached that will allow Swift to perform tracks whose masters are retained by Big Machine.

Taylor shared with the audience, “The last year of my life has had some of the most amazing times and also some of the hardest things I’ve gone through in my life and not a lot of them are things that haven’t been public. And I wanted to thank you so much for being the thing that has been a constant in my life. Like, this industry is really weird. You feel like your stock is either up or down and people either like you or they don’t or you’re feeling bad about yourself. But the people that hang in there for you are the ones that you will never forget.”

“I’m nominated against some absolutely iconic artists. This is crazy. Tonight was an amazing night full of the most unforgettable performances,” Taylor shared. “This is such a great year in music, the new artists are insane. I’m lucky to be here. I know that every step of the way. Thank you so much.”

But the achievements don’t end here as Taylor received recognition for her Lover album with three 2020 Grammy nominations.

Grammys 2020 Nominations Leak Online

The nominations of Grammy 2020 were supposed to be out today on November 20. Surprisingly, fans managed to leak it online from before.

Reportedly, a day before the nominations were supposed to be released, fans suddenly noticed the change in Grammys artist page.

More specifically, fans noticed how Ariana Grande’s artist page had 6 nominations but now, the page says the nominations number is 11.

Until November 19, 2019, Ariana Grande had only six nominations but now she has received 11 nominations in the 2020 Grammys. Even, other artist’s pages have also been changed and there have been showing new numbers of nominations, despite the important fact that the list has not been officially released yet.

According to the latest news of E! News, they got in touch with The Recording Academy and they shared that they were testing their website and they even said that there were technical issues going on at the back end. 

Last year’s Grammys had also come in the limelight but for some other reasons. There too a fake winners list started to circulate on the internet. However, the list proved to be nothing but a bogus as it had no similarity with the actual winners’ list which came out later.

Rohit Sharma will play his 100th T20I international match against Bangladesh

The Bangladesh team is touring India for the T20I series and Test series. This series before it has been started have always been in limelight from Bangladesh’s players strike to Shakib-al0Hasan suspension, from Delhi’s T20I match played in pollution to Rajkot match being affected by the cyclone. But the Test series of this tour will see both the teams playing their 1st Day-Night Test match at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata as they will play 2nd Test match of the series there which is scheduled from 22nd November.

The Bangladesh team created history by defeating India team in the 1st T20I and hence registered their 1st ever T20I victory against India in their 9th clash. The 2nd T20I might be affected by the cyclone but if it is not affected the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma will create a personal record of playing 100th T20I international and thus he will become the 2nd to do so after Pakistan’s Shoaib malik. 

Rohit Sharma is the name that comes to mind whenever we someone talk about T20I format whether it’s International or IPL, Rohit Sharma has dominated in this format from the day he debuted. As the regular captain, Virat Kohli is being rested he is leading the Indian side against the Bangladesh team.

A second source tells E! News, “Kylie and Drake are not romantic. They have always been good friends and have been hanging out more that Kylie is single and Drake is in town at his house in Calabasas. It’s a convenient friendship but it’s strictly platonic.”
